This website

This product website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account forms, or a mailing list. Its hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information to serve pages and protect the service.

The browser

Aether stores browser profiles, tabs, bookmarks, history, and preferences locally on your Mac. Websites you visit receive requests through WebKit and operate under their own privacy policies. Site icons are requested directly from the website you are visiting; they are never sent to a third-party icon service.

Private browsing

Private browsing uses a non-persistent data store. History, cookies, site data and open tabs from a private session are not saved to disk and are discarded when you exit private browsing or quit Aether.

Importing from another browser

Imports read locally selected browser files and write into Aether’s local data. The source browser is left untouched. The migration preview explains supported data and limitations before an import.

Credentials

Aether does not provide its own password vault. Apple passkey and iCloud Passwords integration remains under development and is not verified in the current locally signed preview.
